US SHIPPING TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED! WoofWhistle’s US Duty & Customs FAQ 🐾 Effective for orders shipping on or after 29 August 2025

Q: What’s changing?

From August 29, 2025, the US government will start charging import duties on all parcels — even under $800 USD.
Until now, our US pack didn’t pay duties on most WoofWhistle orders. That free ride is over, sadly.

Q: How much will this cost me?

For WoofWhistle orders, duties will be around:

  • 10% of your order total
    Example: $200 USD order → about $20 USD in duties.

Q: Who do I pay?

  • If we collect duties at checkout (Delivered Duty Paid), you’ll see the fee added when you pay for your order.

  • If not (Delivered Duty Unpaid), your delivery carrier (DHL, UPS, USPS, etc.) will contact you for payment before delivery.

Q: Can I avoid duties?

Sadly, no — they apply to all imports now.
But you can make them sting less by:

  • Bundling orders (one duty charge instead of multiple)

  • Grabbing our US-only loyalty deals to help offset the cost

Q: Will my shipping take longer?

Nope! Customs may peek inside your parcel 🕵️♂️ but the process usually adds only 1–2 days.
We’ll still send your orders as fast as a Frenchie chasing a seagull. 🐕🦺💨

Q: Why is this happening?

The US has removed its de minimis exemption — the rule that used to allow under-$800 parcels in duty-free.
Now, every parcel gets a customs declaration and tariff applied.
It’s not us — it’s Uncle Sam. 🇺🇸📜

Q: Will you change your prices?

We’ll keep our product prices the same.
Any duty is a government fee, not a WoofWhistle markup.
If we collect it at checkout, you’ll see it itemised — no hidden fluff.

Q: How will you help?

  • Clear, upfront duty estimates before you buy

  • Ambassador discount codes still work in the US
